Portland Sound Legacy had the pleasure of welcoming acclaimed Northwest blues and soul vocalist Rae Gordon to KBOO 90.7 FM on September 25, 2026, for an evening that combined live music, conversation, history, and plenty of laughter.
For Robert Davis and co-host Michael LeClair, the interview was much more than simply asking questions about Rae’s career. It became the kind of relaxed, personal conversation that represents exactly what The Portland Sound Legacy Project was created to preserve—the stories behind the music and the people who have helped shape the sound of Portland and the Pacific Northwest.
Rae brought the same warmth, personality, humor, and energy to the interview that audiences have come to know through her performances. Robert and Michael had a wonderful time talking with her about her musical journey, the experiences that helped shape her as an artist, her band, and the many years she has spent performing and building connections with audiences throughout the Northwest and beyond.
